Below are companies and organizations that contribute to Walter V. Long Elementary School. We appreciate their contributions and are grateful for what they offer our school.

Members of The Rotary Club of Las Vegas are frequently seen around campus helping in the classroom, garden, judging science fairs, serving as guest speakers and providing expertise in may fields. The Las Vegas Rotary Club also supports classroom instruction through teacher grants and project funding.

Create a Change Now is a Las Vegas non-profit organization that is educating and empowering children to make healthier food choices. Create a Change Now is helping our school find local chefs for chef demonstrations. They also partner with Three Square by providing Pop Up Produce & Nutrition Curriculum.

Volunteers from Caesar's Entertainment  are regularly seen around campus helping in classrooms, the gardens, painting murals, school beautification projects, and volunteering for JA in a Day.  Caesar's Entertainment also supports classroom instruction by donating classroom materials and supplies.

Starbucks always believes that businesses can - and should - have a positive impact on the communities they serve. So ever since we opened our first store in 1971, we dedicated ourselves to earning the trust and respect of our customers, partners and neighbors. Join us at Starbucks at Eastern and Bonanza.

Green Our Planet launched its Outdoor Garden Classroom STEAM Program in Las Vegas, Nevada in January 2013. Green our Planet helps with our school gardens, garden curriculum, and with our schools farmer's market. Students can learn a variety of subjects including STEAM, health and nutrition.

Silver State Schools Credit Union has partnered with Walter Long and the Andson Foundation to help manage and run the Piggy Bank. If you are a volunteer, student, retiree, employee, or member of an organization (such as PTA or PTO), you, your immediate family, and those living in your household are eligible to join SSSCU.

United Citizens Foundation (UCF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting healthy social, emotional, and behavioral skills for children, adolescents, adults and families. Services are available regardless of your economic status. UCF provides mental and behavioral health services and more to CCSD students.

Horace Mann supports classroom instruction by regularly donating to Walter Long teachers' Donor's Choose Projects. We provide auto, home and life insurance to protect what teachers and school employees have today, and retirement and financial solutions to help them secure their future.

Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada organizes community volunteers to provide meaningful financial literacy lessons to all students from kindergarten through fifth grade in one exciting day. Students learn many skills while focusing on key life skills like the importance of saving.

United Way has supported our school by organizing volunteers for our United Day of Caring.  During these days, volunteers have spent time in classrooms, painted murals, worked on school beautification projects, and cleaned the gardens.

In 1996, GM created a program to help support education and benefit America’s schools –  Box Tops for Education™. Each year, students, teachers and friends of Walter V. Long Elementary School collect enough Box Tops to raise several thousand dollars that is used to maintain the animals used in the classroom and life lab. 

Pierro's Landscape and Maintenance removed the old lawn and installed the artificial grass in front of the office and in the Lanni Memorial Garden. For over 20 years Pierro's Landscape & Maintenance has been devoted to designing, improving, and maintaining the outdoor landscape throughout the Las Vegas Valley.

The Andson Foundation has partnered with Walter V. Long Elementary School to provide monthly financial literacy lessons to all students from kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition, they also operate the Piggy Bank every Thursday.
